Plunger

Plunger

  1. Use 1 heaped tablespoon of plunger ground coffee per person.
  2. Put coffee into plunger and add near boiling water to halfway, wait a minute or two and then swirl the coffee in the plunger until a crema forms.
  3. Then fill the plunger to the top, press and serve.
Espresso

Espresso

  1. Grind coffee to an espresso grind or use a coffee scoop of 7 grams of espresso ground coffee for each single shot of espresso.
  2. Put the coffee into the portafilter basket and press firmly with a tamper.
  3. Run the extraction until the coffee turns from a rich caramel to a light blond (about 30mls per single shot), then add hot water or steamed milk.

  1. Put a fine ground coffee into the filter basket to the top, tamp gently to ensure grounds are evenly spread.
  2. Heat the pot not too rapidly on the stove to percolate at an even pace, reduce heat to low once it is boiling.
  3. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes and then serve.

  1. Throw plunger coffee into the billy, on top of some water.
  2. Boil it up over the fire and pour it through a sieve into your tin mug... aaaah!
